I am a General Surgeon. In the UK this term means that I manage conditions mainly affecting the abdomen.
My surgical specialisation is in the investigation and surgical management of conditions of the gastrointestinal tract (Oesophagus, stomach, gut, gallstones/gallbladder and pancreas) and of abdominal hernias.
In my private surgical practice I mainly specialise in the surgical treatment of gallstone disease (gallbladder surgery), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD in the UK or GERD in the US), hiatus hernia (often associated with GORD) and abdominal wall hernia (inguinal, umbilical, epigastric etc).
